Conocimiento y producción del espacio de los flujos

Abstract

This article attempts to make an approach to the concept of virtual City, specifically the knowledge and production of the space of flows, which is implicit in much of the current debate surrounding Technologies of Communication and Information and the future of cities. Two approaches are made, one from the point of view of the relevance of the space of flows, the other from the persistence of the city as a system of places. Also globalization, exclusion and segregation are analyzed under the frame of the relations between spaces of flows and places, between global and local scale .
